Outside

I was in the yard for awhile while the puppies were outside. Isaac has them on harnesses because they are learning to mind. They were easy going while the harnesses were on. When Isaac took these off, the puppies were back to playing, and being a little rougher in their actions. They were soon all over the backyard. They need to run, and play, but we don’t want them biting each other. It takes time to know what we want, and they are settling some.

It will take time to get the puppies to be perfect, but they are already special. When they are able they each come to me, and show they like me. They might lick me in the face, but i try to avoid this. It is fun having puppies.

In the Yard

We took the puppies outside today. They had their things on that help us keep them steady, and not going wild. They are learning to walk, and sit, run, and play with out the special things, and then to retreat back inside with this on. They are doing much better. We want settled puppies, and yet they are not going to be one years old until June 1. So they have time to learn, and grow. Isaac would have them sit, and they did. They know this word. They like treats. I often give them a treat when I am along. It works, even though it is their little pellets that they chew up. I believe in giving treats.

Hot Dogs, or Hamburgers?

Which do you like the most? I love a good hamburger that is home-made at home, or in the kitchen at the church. I don’t mind getting a hot hamburger from a place that always makes them, but there are times when I make my own, because it is cheaper. We get the meat we want, and I work on the hamburgers. I roll them out, and then Isaac adds the spices. We may roll the hamburgers together, because it takes time. Then we put them in our Iron skillet. Yes, and we have two skillets. It takes time, but these are wonderful.

So do you want to know the difference in making mine? I add fresh, white bread that is broken up, 3-4 eggs that have been stirred before putting in the bowl to mix the meat. I add some onion, and it can be half an onion. I slice this, and then chop it fine. I don’t want to add too, much, but this does add flavor.

I add some kind of sauce to the meat. A little goes a long way. I add some salt, but not much. Mix all this together. The eggs are there to make it light to eat. Smile. I don’t like hamburgers to be over barring. They need to be flavorful, and have taste. Adding the extras is using your wisdom. If you don’t want to change the flavor much, a little spice will go a, long, way.

Soil

I have a little garden in the backyard, and I always add soil to this spot, and I plan flowers that will last most of the summer. It is just a little think, but I have brick around the garden to define it. I added some things to the soil, because I like to maintain a rich soil for the flowers mostly that I choose to put in the garden. I get a certain kind, and they aren’t available yet. When the cold weather is gone, these are set out. It has to be a warm day, and I’m not sure it is totally warm yet. This has been a lovely day with 82 degrees.

It is important to add things to the soil to make it handle what is growing in the garden. I have flowers in this one, and I don’t mix them with anything edible. This garden is quite a few years older now. It has come along, and the rose bush is tall, and big. It always has roses, and we bought the rose bush to go in this spot. Roses will last for a long time.

Find It

If you are interested, I do have my Art on the Web. I haven’t had much training, but my Dad would help me if I needed wisdom. I took Art from him for several years. You can find some under Rubies Art Corner. I believe this is the title. Smile.

Getting Ready

I used to paint scenes, and flowers in vases, or anything else that caught my attention. I painted many flowers, and they are intricate. They have many wonderful things about them, and I would tackle the flower for several days to get a likeness.

I am a novice. I haven’t had much education in Art, so at times my sister would laugh with me because I have an imagination that doesn’t quit. I was doing a Bible verse. It said, “Out of your belly will flow rivers of living water.” I understood the verse, but getting this into a picture was going to take wisdom. I had the picture in my head when I began praying about what to do with this one.

My sister laughed, and laughed with me over this one, but I drew a spicket. Then I had water flowing from it, and it had a turn on, and turnoff part to it.

It looked just like a spicket, except I drew the belly with the water flowing. She laughed, and laughed many times as I started painting, and drawing whatever came to mind. She was talented, and she could draw anything. She helped me see how to do some things, but mostly she left it up to me to think about.

I still laugh, but this verse that I used is still the same. “Out of your belly will flow rivers of living water.”

God was talking about the power of the Holy Spirit, and the rivers of living water was the result of the flow of the Holy Spirit.

The Word is hid in our hearts so we won’t sin against God. It becomes a powerful tool when we use the right verse at the right time. God knows our hearts, and He sees to the heart.

The outward appearance is one thing, but the heart has always been where He looks. Is your heart right with Him? I do believe reading the Bible, and praying cause the river of living water to flow inside you.

Well Dressed

Do your shoes fit? At times I have to wear my shoes for awhile before changing to something more comfortable. Where there is a way, there is a shoe that will be comfortable, and it will still look nice, and dignified. Those that look wonderful can be cheaper made shoes. The style goes a long wau/

Brownies

Isaac helped me make brownies. He took over, and I assisted. Instead of so much oil, he used three cubes of butter for each box. It worked. We melted the butter, and added it to the other ingredients. What wonderful brownies.

Mowing

Ed is mowing the backyard, and I don’t blame him for waiting for awhile to do this. It gives a chance for the grass to grow tall, and it doesn’t take longer to mow. He can see the grass as it is, and how he wants to make it look. Both yards will have to be done. It has been awhile since the backyard was mowed. We could hire someone, but Ed wants the exercise.

i used to mow the grass for my folks, and later for our yard. I considered it exercise, and my skin would get the sun on it, and sweating would help it be healthy. All this worked. Then I became older, and after falling, I could no longer mow like I did. I healed from the falls, but they did their damages.

Isaac can mow if he needs to mow. He hasn’t for awhile, but he can manage the task.

Resting

This is definitely a resting kind of day. We are resting for the week-end. Resting including reading the Bible, and having times of prayer, and taking it easier. We don’t walk today, but I miss this. I never thought I would miss walking a mile.
