Plan ahead what you want to wear. It will help you know what to put on if you are ever in a rush getting out the door. I wash clothes every other day, if not daily. I don’t let the hamper run over, and the baskets remain full. I wash clothes for two others, and myself. I have learned that if they are not happy, no one is that day. I need to be rested, so I take time to rest. If I get up early, I might nap when I am through reading for the day. It makes a difference when I read as much as I like. I don’t rush the time with the Lord.
I have bought a really nice, small leather purse. It won’t hold an elephant, so I have to clean my purse out before I do much more, if we are going on a trip. You see, the smallness, or the pocketbook was helping me to become organized. I must only carry what was necessary. You know, my back was better because I didn’t try to load a huge pocket book with too, many things.
The other day I used my larger pocket book. I had it organized in minutes. It wasn’t over loaded, and I did carry it with delight. Then I said to myself, “I believe I like the smaller purse.” Really.
I had to be at work by a certain time daily, unless I had bus duty. Then I had to be there a half hour earlier. I learned to plan ahead, because otherwise, the whole day was ruined if I was running late to work. I taught my children at school how to clean up what they messed up in our room. We would have fun with a project, and give reports, so we had to sit together in groups. When all the reporting was done, we went back to the planned rows. The children could clean our classroom in minutes, including with a broom, and dust pan. They washed their desks, and they were quick with getting ready to go home. A good day meant a small reward usually. Smile. Some days cleaning the room was their treasure!
There are some things in life that we learn the hard way. If we can’t find something, it is because we don’t put it back in the same place every time. Really. It is discipline to put things back, but if you do, they will grow to your liking where they are put. I have to memorize where I put things, but I try to keep those places obvious. The trouble with finding our things, is that we aren’t organized, and we are careless with where we put things. If you have a huge house, I know you have a place for keys. How would you find them otherwise.
What you mess up, you clean up has been my thoughts many times. I can make a huge mess, but I persist in always cleaning up what messes I caused. At times it is wonderful to make that mess, to clean out a drawer, or the closet. I try to make a habit, and know where I put something. My pocket book has been small, but with summer coming, I will make it bigger. The need to know where I put things will be even more important. When you must go, you must know where the keys are.
So where is a good place for those keys. If you have to make a pouch, find a place on the wall to hang them. Keys are replaceable, but much trouble when you have to make new ones. If things are picked up, it helps. Don’t overload your room with clothes. If you don’t wear them, put them somewhere else, other than your room. I took 3 bags to the Good Will, and then later I found more things that I am not wearing. It is a small room that we live in, as a couple, and I don’t let things get cluttered. I put things in a pillow case until I can decide to keep, or throw them.
If we have keys, that is the most important thing to us. Therefore put them in a safe place, Don’t change that place . Mine go in my pocket book. I learned the hard way to put things back in their “Home.”
CAN YOUI name the people who have stood in the storms of life, and they didn’t budge in their faith? There are many in the Bible who withstood opposition, and they received the victory. Remember the three men in the fiery furnace? JESUS WAS WALKING IN THE FIRE WITH THEM. THE King had them brought out of the fiery furnace, because of the fourth person he saw in the fire with them. Hello? Our God is awesome, and compassionate, Daniel withstood. God shut the mouths of the lions, and He wasn’t eaten up. The king checked on him early in the morning. “You alright, Daniel?”
I’m sure we have all been through circumstances that we know God was delivering us miraculously. The feet of the righteous are blessed. The footsteps of the righteous are ordered by the LORD. WE WEAR HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. I DON’T KNOW what you are going through, but God is there to help you. His hand has always been strong, and the Hand of the Lord should be on you.
I taught school for years. When I taught one on one, the child often would pay more attention. Sit down with your Bible, and pray for understanding. God wants you to study the Word, and to understand it. Ask for Wisdom. He always gives it.
There are many opportunities to wait in line, or to wait for someone to end their conversation on the phone, or to wait until you have peace again. It is awesome when you wear the peace of God like a robe of peace. IT COVERS FROM HEAD TO TOE. I have been told that answers come ,when we have His peace.
Many times we don’t want to wait for the answer. We think God’s answer will come through the mail, or suddenly someone will tell us the answer we are seeking from God. Wait on the LORD. DON’T GIVE UP. I find that waiting is work. We don’t see the result, but God sees all things at once. He is not like we are, and we should be respectful of who He is, and have unwavering faith, that what he has begun, HE WILL FINISH.
WAIT ON THE LORD. GIVE YOUR REQUEST, AND KEEP PRAYING UNTIL YOU HAVE THE Peace of God. This is one key to waiting. Walk in trust, obedience, and know that He is going to lead you this time. Have you had to wait for an answer? They who wait upon the Lord will be rewarded. They rise with the faith God gives them. They are renewed in their Spirit , and they begin to trust without seeing the outcome. This is when we might mount up with wings, because God is in control when we give that problem, or request to Him. Renewal comes when you get in th Word with both, feet, and keep reading by faith. Faith to wait comes. Faith comes by hearing the Word. I believe we must trust HIM WITH ALL OUR HEARTS.
I PRAY about everything. Jesus would go to the mountain to pray. Our city is surrounded by mountains. I love mountains from a distance. I believe we need to pray more. What do we pray about? I believe I have been taught to make a request, and then spend the rest of the time thanking God for who He is, and what He has done for me. I BELIEVE we should become thankful. Thankfulness should be all year long. What has God done in the past? You know, worship is important, and praising and thanking Him should be all year long.
Little is much when God is in it. I love this expectation. The little things count. Those blue birds that were shone on my blog, are awesome. Animals have wonderful qualities, and God has created many things for us to enjoy. I hope your week-end is pleasant, and fulfilling.
I have to make potato salad for tomorrow. I love it now that I am grown. You have to start fresh with potato salad, or find some at the store. I became sick on it one time, and I wouldn’t eat it. That lasted for a long while. I finally reasoned, that potato salad is good, and probably as an adult it would not make me sick. It didn’t. I even make it for everyone when we have a special occasion. I am off potatoes…but I might taste it.
He is such a loving cat. We brought Sandy home from my sister’s home. He is beautiful, and he weighs too, much. I haven’t put him on a diet. I don’t have to pick him up. Last night he met me face to face. I GUESS he is looking into my eyes. My sister’s eyes were brown. Mine are green. Brown, and blue make green eyes at times. Mine are greener than my sister’s. She had hazel eyes.
PEOPLE would ask me when I was little, “Where did you get those cat eyes?”
I didn’t know they were so green. I am glad to have them. I am surprised that I am the only one in my family with the green eyes. For St. Patrick’s Day, I’m wearing green. Look at my eyes.
I was up, reading again. Butch woke up, and wanted to go outside. I GOT MY COAT, and stepped outside until Butch was through roaming in our backyard. At times he thinks the neighbors will let him come inside. He went to the fences and, walked along slowly. I took my tea with me. I sipped on it, and watched Butch, because he does wander. Someone else is always better than I with this dog. I could see the grass has grown, and that we need to cut the grass before Easter!
We are cooking dinner tonight, and hoping to have some left overs for tomorrow. Sunday is always a resting day for us. I brought several blankets into the den to cover the furniture. It works, unless the blanket falls down. Then the couch is open for abuse. So far there has been none. NO scratches on the furniture makes me enjoy it.
