Hamburgers

You can buy hamburgers, but tonight Isaac is making them. We are making them, and even Butch, our dog, will get a hamburger. I have been on a diet, but hamburgers are on my diet, unless I choose not to eat the bun. Then I eat the hamburger with onion, cheese, and mayonnaise, and without the bun. I am off bread, sweets, salad, fruit, and potatoes. I have been to see both of my doctors. I have a test next Thursday, and then I will be through with the heart doctor for another year. My regular doctor said she will be watching me. I will be returning to her in two weeks. She didn’t say she was concerned, but my diet is working. I weighed less.

I Added to the List.

The other day I added to my short list of food that I won’t eat for a while. I chose to list salad, because I never know how much dressing I will need to consume with a salad. At times the dressing is just right. Other times, the vinegar is too sour, and I have trouble eating the salad. I do know that at times the dressing has sugar in it. So to lose some pounds, I am off the salads for now. I am off sweet potatoes, because I love to put butter on mine. Butter is fattening. I do believe my list is a little longer. I am off sweets, potatoes, bread, fruit, and salad. This is for a season. The sweets were the hardest to give up. I love ice cream.

My Bag.

I have a nice bag of green apples in the kitchen. I have wanted to make a pie of these apples. It takes 9 to make my pie. I will wait until tomorrow, but I am eager to have something sweet for the simple meal we have planned. Isaac will make hamburgers, and even our dog will eat one. Smile. Yes, he loves hamburgers without the bun. My bag of apples has been in my sight since Ed brought them in the other day. I rarely eat an apple when we go out for lunch. One restaurant near us serves an apple to everyone. At times I eat some of Ed’s apple, and take mine home.

I Hope to Finish.

I hope to finish washing clothes today. I don’t want to have this task for another whole day. I let go of the washing, and I had an appointment or two. I became behind, and Isaac, my son, didn’t put many washes, if any in. He did contribute some time to them today. I suddenly had dry clothes to fold, and put away. I love the word, disseminate. I use it several times when I am thinking of finishing a task. I disseminated the clothes today. They were soon filling Ed’s dresser drawer, and Isaac’s closet. I fold, and put the clothes away as soon as possible. I have the time today. I am not sure about tomorrow.

I Went with Ed.

Ed went to his regular doctor. I was quiet, because I didn’t have an appointment. The doctor said she was going to be watching me closely. I am to see her in two weeks. My blood pressure was normal, and lower. She might have been surprised with my weight also. I feel a little crowed with her comment, but I know she is a wonderful doctor. I will go along with whatever she wants.

Another doctor has be taking a test next week. It is a scan of my heart. I went to the heart doctor, and he asked me to have this test done. He is excellent as a heart doctor. He didn’t say why he wanted to have this simple test done, but it will show if there are any problems. This is a routine type test. I have it next Thursday. Looks like we will be in town for a few more days.

I have been putting in Washes, Again.

I wash clothes daily if I can. Today I was behind, so I put in one wash, dried it, and put another in right away while the dryer was going. It helps to not have a tremendous amount of clothes to wash. My problem is that I don’t like to let dirty clothes set in the hamper, or in my baskets. I had the baskets, and the hamper full of clothes. I could have finished in two hours at the laundry mat, but today, and yesterday are cooler, and rainy at times. Yesterday, we had much rain. So I stayed home, and put in my washes.

It takes time, but the feeling of finishing the washes, is wonderful. I did put some clothes in that weren’t mine. Our guest is extra busy these days, and I threw in some jeans for her. They will wash with ours, and it will hopefully surprise her when she gets home from work. Standing all day is hard on us, and we lose our energy. It is important to finish while we have the time, and to rest for those days when we stand more.
