The first pie was eaten quickly. I made an apple pie for supper. I won’t have any, but my family loves this pie. I don’t make it too, much. I believe the type apple you use in a pie makes a difference. I have used all sizes, and kinds. This one works, because it is a sweet apple. I buy my apples for pie at the grocery store. They come in a huge bag. It takes 9 apples to make a pie, and this time I put it in a nice dish. You must remember to put in the sugar in a pie. It makes a difference if you don’t use sugar!
We ate all the casserole in minutes. I layered chicken, and soup, peas, and Ritz Crackers. I put crushed crackers along the side of the casserole dish, and added melted butter to the crackers so they could make a wall in the dish. I put crackers on the first layer, and this set the casserole. It was easy then adding a layer of tiny peas, and chicken, as another layer. I added crackers, and layered this for several times.
My dish is a medium-sized dish, with tall sides. It took a few minutes to fill this dish. There are no eggs in this dish. I put it in the oven, and baked for at least 50 minutes at 350. Soon the casserole was bubbly, and hot. I let it bake and turned off the timer. I wrapped the dish, and if our guest doesn’t want this tonight, we will have it for lunch. It takes minutes to prepare this one, and it isn’t full of calories.
