First Things First.

I have made it a habit to give my new year to the Lord. In recent years, I have given up certain foods, and prayed over the new year, because I felt led to pray over the year until I finished. At times it took several days, and other times I was still praying about the new year when it arrived. This is how it has been  this year.  I wait to find verses that I can pray back to God for the year. They are promises, and words of encouragement.

I used to read my Bible every three days, and as I grew older, I realized I need to read it more often. I began getting up early so I could read the Bible. I noticed a difference when I went to work. At times I would read the Bible in my room when everyone was gone with another teacher. They were at recess. I believe the Word is that refreshing, and people began to gather to pray over our week at one school. I believe God gives us time to find those who know Him, and pray for those who don’t.

I am retired, and every day I usually find the time to sit down with the Bible, and read it.
