I’m amazed at how many restaurants don’t know how to make good slaw. It all tastes the same, and it isn’t totally edible. I love the way my mother-in-law made her slaw. It is fresh from the cabbage, and never store bought slaw. She cut it herself. Then she stirred her concoction of mayonnaise into the slaw. It was slightly sweetened. I believe her slaw was the awakening for my wanting to know what she did to the slaw. I watched. Now my slaw tastes home-made.
